Ahoy mateys! Pirates are boarding Kalmar Nyckel. Join the fun with this family friendly day of pirate and maritime-themed activities offered at the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard and Fort Christina Park. Activities include loads of pirate history, lore and fun:
Pirate demonstrations by the Vigilant Crew
· Tours of the Kalmar Nyckel with friendly pirates & deck hands*
· Musical performances by Pirates For Sail
Aerial Pirates by Ascend Flow Arts of Wilmington
· Pirate Crafts*
· Pirate face painting*
· Food Trucks and Beer Garden (for age 21 and older)*
Fort Christina National Historic Landmark: tours and hands-on activities. Children can earn Junior Ranger Badges on July 7th!
Restored rail car from the original Jackson and Sharp Company on display in shipyard!

FREE Parking and Shuttle Bus
Check out our Google Map with 5 free parking lots for the Festival plus Free Shuttle Bus stops and Handicap Parking.
Handicap parking is available in the lot across the street from the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard entrance, 1124 E. 7th St., Wilmington, DE 19801 (green/Point 9 on map). Only vehicles with valid placards or handicap license plate will be permitted, please.

Delaware Technical Community College: 3 outside parking lots
Noramco Inc. parking lot: NO shuttle bus service as the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard is 2 blocks away.(on the right just after turning from 4th St. onto Swedes Landing).
7th Street Skatepark lot: 1195 7th St., Wilmington, DE 19801 at the end of 7th St. (drive past Festival at Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard). Shuttle bus stop across the street.
