Kalmar Nyckel offers day sails, pirate sails, tours and river cruises during our sailing season from April through October. During the winter we offer ship and shipyard tours on the weekends. To find an event, select location and then type of activity. You can also arrange a private charter sail.
Due to the nature of the weather and conditions beyond our control, the ship's schedule is subject to change without notice.
COVID UPDATE: Masks must be worn at all times on the ship as well as on campus. Sailing passengers must be age 9 or older. Please do not come sailing if you're sick or if you've been exposed to someone who has been sick. We are not opening our snack bar this season. Additional disinfecting is scheduled before each sail, and hand sanitizer will be available on board. Thank you for your patience! We are trying our best to provide some adventure and entertainment during these unusual times!
To keep each reservation of guests socially distanced from each other we will be selling tickets in zones. You can make a reservation for 2-4 people per zone, and your zone will not have other parties in that area. Ship staff will rotate zones so guests can experience all parts of the ship. The minimum number of tickets you may purchase is 2. If you wish to purchase more than 4 tickets, we will assign your party 2 zones. In order to operate the ship safely, crew may pass by your zone closer than 6' distance, and will be wearing masks at all times.
All ticket sales will be done on the phone through our office. Please call 302-429-7447 Monday-Friday from 9am - 1pm. Space is limited.
If you have a party of up to 15 call the office about a family sail. These can be filled in weekday morning or afternoons from Oct. 1st-October 30th, and we would reserve the entire ship for your family, at a fixed price.
Our ship is not wheel chair accessible. We would, however, be happy to discuss your needs. Please call us before you book your tickets to see if we can accommodate your needs at 302-429-7447.Sailing Schedule: Public Events, click Search to view other months.
