Virtual LEGO Shipbuilding Contest entries due Monday, March 1st
Entries are due 5pm Monday, March 1. Prizes for all ages and skill levels! Build a ship with LEGOs, take a picture and email your entry. OR download free Stud.io software to design a virtual LEGO ship or the Advanced Kit Design Challenge. Prizes announced Saturday 3/6 at 2pm on Facebook live. Get building!
Wilmington Pirate Festival returns July 31
Save the date! Saturday, July 31 the pirates return to the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation shipyard campus. We're brewing up the details so stay tuned and get yer costume ready! ARRR you with us mates?
Winter Crew Training starts March 6th
Learn to sail and join our crew with this immersive class. Registration closed on Sunday, Feb. 14. The Winter class runs March 6-May 8, with virtual Zoom classes plus outdoor hands-on small group sessions next spring (in cohorts) with mentors. Culminates with practice sails on our ship. Questions? Our Copeland Maritime Center and the ship are closed to the public. Please inquire about virtual sails and field trips for all ages. We plan to offer sails and events this summer. All programs are subject to COVID-19 health practices for the safety of all involved. Masks must be worn at all times on the ship and campus.
