KALMAR NYCKEL - Special Riverfront Appearances!
KALMAR NYCKEL returns to the Wilmington Riverfront for free special appearances on July 4th from 12-4pm and July 11, 18 and 25 with dockside tales from our Captains and Mates! Pick up a Riverfront Scavenger Hunt and explore! Events are weather dependent. Check back for rain dates. We regret that summer sails & deck tours are cancelled due to COVID-19. Watch for fall sails or call 302.429.7447 weekdays.
Book a Virtual Field Trip this summer!
Virtual Field Trips will take your campers to new heights & places you can't see on a sail! Inquire about education programs: David Livingstone, Assist. Director of Education, David.Livingstone@kalmarnyckel.org. Decisions on future operations will be based on government and public health guidelines.
Fort Christina Park - Open Tuesday-Sunday through Labor Day weekend
Enjoy a beautiful Wilmington landmark and green space while learning about the colony of New Sweden, the Kalmar Nyckel's first voyage, a stop on the Underground Railroad, and more. Self-guided and tours with an interpreter available. Open Tuesday- Saturday 10am-4pm and Sundays 12-4pm.
