The Copeland Maritime offers a beautiful and unique riverfront venue for entertaining guests at your next private event.

Whether you are planning a special celebration, a corporate event or meeting, our outstanding riverfront venue provides several options for an exciting and memorable event.

The Main Deck Room

For receptions with up to 175 guests and table seating for 115, the Main Deck room allows for a bar, dancing or seating on the ship’s deck as well ample surrounding space. The room includes nautical exhibits, ship models, and audio-visual equipment.


Watercraft Of The World Gallery

An intimate setting for dinner, drinks, buffet setup or meetings. It features the Forney Collection of 73 model ships and boats from across the globe.


The Riverfront Room

An engaging space for private meetings of 12-25 people that exhibits Wilmington’s history of shipbuilding and railcar production. It is equipped with video screen, HDMI, WIFI and teleconferencing.

Rental Information

  • Main Deck Room: $1,200 for a 3-hour event ($400 per additional hour).
  • Riverfront Room: $300 for 4 hours or $500 for 8 hours.
  • Packages available for combination private ship and building events and weddings on request.
  • Audio-visual equipment can be rented depending on your needs.
  • Event contracts require a 50% advance deposit. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event.
  • KNF has 100 chairs (black) and roughly 20 tables that may be used.  All other rentals (tables, linens, plates, etc.) are the client's responsibility to rent, schedule delivery/pick up, set up, and break down.
  • A Certificate of Insurance must be provided by the rental clients.
