Give students an unforgettable experience with a field trip on our Copeland Maritime Campus and the Tall Ship of Delaware. Students will discover the day in a life of a sailor, navigation, teamwork, STEM concepts, and much more on ship and shore.
We bring innovative programs into classrooms across Delaware and the Delaware Valley, including our new Five Ways to Freedom: Navigating Delaware's Underground Railroad Network and award-winning Starting A Colony programs which are free to Delaware students this year. Explore these interactive programs.
Explore the Kalmar Nyckel and bring the adventures of the high seas right to your classroom with our free, virtual field trips.
The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation offers a variety of resources, materials, and curriculum units developed in partnership with the Delaware Department of Education (DOE).
We partner with organizations throughout the community to provide a range of events and programs throughout Delaware every year.
We invite scouts to haul lines, raise sails, and learn to tie nautical knots while earning their Kalmar Nyckel Scout Patch with our interactive programs.
