Five Ways to Freedom: Wilmington’s Underground Railroad - February 1

Join us Saturday, Feb. 1st, 1:30-4:30pm to explore local Underground Railroad history. Free crafts, prizes & activities for all ages. Free tours of Maritime Center exhibits and a walking tour of Fort Christina Park. Both free performances of HENRY "Box" BROWN are SOLD OUT. Call to be added to our waitlist at 302.429.7447. Shipbuilding Saturday - THIS Week Feb. 15   Build A Freedom Schooner

Come visit the Copeland Maritime Center on Saturday, February 15 and explore the local history of the Underground Railroad. Build a Freedom Schooner for free between 1:00-4:00pm.

LEGO Shipbuilding Day - March 1st

Our 10th annual LEGO Shipbuilding Day offers fun for all ages and skill levels. Build STEM-based models of historic and naval ships AND design your own ship in our free-play rooms. Prizes for ships built on site and at home. Free admission & parking. Fees for some activities.

From 1:00-4:00pm, learn about Kalmar Nyckel's last voyage in the Battle of Buchan Ness. Then take a shot at “firing” an indoor cannon with your drill team. Do you have what it takes to sink a ship? Free family friendly activities to start your April! Free admission & parking.

Captain Kidd's Pirate Day Arrives Saturday, June 21

Ahoy shipmates and land lubbers! All are welcome for a day of family-friendly pirate games, cannon demonstrations. ship tours, crafts, and more. Costumes welcome and don't ferget yer eye patch!
