Let us provide the ultimate riverfront venue for your wedding ceremony, reception, micro wedding, or rehearsal dinner. The Kalmar Nyckel and Copeland Maritime Center provide a variety of options to make your dream celebration come true.


On Board the Ship

Invite your guests to come aboard Kalmar Nyckel for an intimate wedding ceremony or a micro wedding with catered light fare on board. Our Captain and crew will welcome you to our tall ship for an unparalleled outdoor wedding setting on the Christina River.

  • Private Sails: 49 passengers maximum (including catering staff/bar tender)
  • Private Dockside Parties (on the ship): 90 passengers maximum

On Shore

The Copeland Maritime Center offers an exciting maritime-themed location for formal or casual weddings and receptions that can accommodate up to:

  • 175 guests for a party or reception
  • 115 guests for table seating

The center has three additional rooms that can accommodate cocktails, a buffet, gifts, and a changing room. Explore your plans at our special venue.


Wedding Fees

Wedding packages start at $3,000:

  •  Copeland Maritime Center: 5-hour reception including 2-hour set-up and 1-hour breakdown for $3,000.
  • Private Ship Wedding: starts with a 1.5-hour private sail for $3,400 or a 2-hour event at the dock for $3,100.
  • Rehearsal and set-up fees vary based on building rental and ship plans.
